deskjet 2700e

I got a new printer a Deskjet 2700e  all-in-one series. Tried setting it up using my mobile phone but kept getting the message unable to register printer to your account. I spoke to someone at HP help who said it was best to do it on a laptop or desk computer. Tried that and now I keep getting the message printer is connected to your network but model is unsupported by HP smart. Can't get hold of anybody at HP, and other than throwing the whole lot out the window I don't know what to do now

  • Update HP Smart App: Make sure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your mobile phone. Outdated versions may not support newer printer models. You can update the app through your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS).
  • Connectivity: Verify that your printer is correctly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure that both your mobile phone and the printer are on the same network. You might need to go through the printer's setup process again to ensure a proper connection.
