Nice to see there are others with same problem... Problem appears to be in HP Smart package...No quick workaround..obviously HP's problem... I downloaded standalone HP scan program and it works OK... I have finally gotten through on phone to HP and they acknowledge it is their problem...They promise FIX within hours... Apparently little regard for customers info...

Hope this may save others some time

Check the Windows Store for an update to the app. Mine is now working again as of 13:55 PST
