Product: OfficeJet 9018

MY printer keeps attempting to download some software/firmware update, timeout, fails and locks up.  I restart it and we repeat the cycle about every ten minutes or so.

 

I need one of three solutions, to get the unit to download the update, to cancel the update entirely or find the nearest recycling center so I can junk it.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you want to reset the printer, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
