the scanner won't scan and I finally reset to factory defaults. Now it says the printer won't print till I enroll in HP instant INK (i'm already enrolled) and then it insists on printing an alignment page but it just spins on this and never prints. What now?

Hi @pablo525,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is stuck on printing an alignment page, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
- Cancel the print job: You can try canceling the current print job by pressing the cancel button on the printer or by canceling it from the print queue on your computer.
- Restart the printer: Sometimes, restarting the printer can resolve issues with printing. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on again.
- Check the ink cartridges: Make sure that your printer has enough ink to print the alignment page. If the ink levels are low, replace the cartridges and try printing again.
- Clean the printhead: Over time, the printhead can become clogged with dried ink, which can cause alignment issues. Try cleaning the printhead using the cleaning utility in the printer software.
- Update the printer drivers: Check to see if there are any updates available for your printer drivers. Outdated drivers can cause issues with printing.
- Reset the printer: If none of the above solutions work, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings. This will erase any custom settings and restore the printer to its factory defaults.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
