Hi @JunaidIqbal1,.

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Laser MFP 135w started showing an “Incompatible Toner Cartridge” message after installing the latest firmware V3.82.01.25, even though the printer is new and the toner is an original HP cartridge that worked fine before the update. Let’s go through a few steps to identify what’s happening.

Restart and power reset the printer
Turn off the printer using the power button and unplug the power cord from the rear.
Wait at least 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and turn the printer back on.

Remove and reseat the toner cartridge
Open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge.
Reinsert it firmly, making sure it is fully seated, then close the cover and check if the message clears.

Verify the correct toner model for your region
The Laser MFP 135w supports region-specific HP 106A or HP 107A toners depending on the market.
If the printer firmware region and toner region do not match, the printer may report the cartridge as incompatible after a firmware update.

Check for additional firmware updates
Firmware updates sometimes include fixes for cartridge authentication.
Check via HP Smart or the printer’s Embedded Web Server to see if a newer firmware version is available.

Perform a printer reset
With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the rear.
Wait 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord, and allow the printer to fully initialize.

Reinstall the printer software
Uninstall the printer from Devices and Printers or HP Smart.
Restart the computer and reinstall the full-feature HP driver recommended for the Laser MFP 135w.

Check toner authenticity message details
If available, view the toner status details from the printer menu or HP Smart app.
This can confirm whether the issue is related to region locking or cartridge chip authentication.

I hope this helps.
