Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to set up HP Smart Tank 7600.  Printer is turned on and says "HP printer is setting up your printer".  I am on web site 123.hp.com.  I hit button "Install HP Smart".  I then get a message "we're sorry something went wrong"

Hi @LHatter

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like you're encountering an issue during the setup process—let's work through it!

Please try the below suggestion:

Check Internet Connection:

Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If you're on Wi-Fi, try restarting your router.

Use a Different Browser:

If you're using a browser to access 123.hp.com, switch to a different one (e.g., Chrome, Edge, or Firefox). Clear your browser's cache and cookies before trying again.

Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store (if you're on a Windows device):

Instead of downloading from the website, open the Microsoft Store on your computer.

Search for "HP Smart" and install it directly from there.

Try an Alternative Device:

If possible, use a smartphone or tablet to download the HP Smart app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Restart the Printer and Your Device:

Turn off your printer and unplug it for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. Do the same for your computer or device.

Check for Updates:

Make sure your operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, an outdated OS can cause compatibility issues.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Regards,
