easy start downloads fine but wont install. keep getting a "your version of windows is not supported" message. HP troubleshooting page detects my version of windows and finds the appropriate software, but the not supported flag keeps popping up. Windows 7 on my system is 32 bit by the way and according to all the info on the printer, should be supported (deskjet 2630 all in one)

I can offer the following...
Without a direct call (from Software and Drivers website page), the version(s) supported are kept internal to the executable package. Nonetheless, as I recall, Windows 7 is indeed supported in the version below:
DJ2600_Full_WebPack_43.3.2478.exe

Thanks for that, looking through minimum requirements I may have found the root of the problem as internet explorer is listed as a requirement. My laptops an older model given to me as a favour, windows explorer does'nt work and I'm having to use google chrome as a default browser. Originally I couldnt connect to the internet at all as I was flagged up as not having an AOL account. I deleted all the old AOL software that must have been pre-installed but internet explorer displayed 'unable to display webpage' messages. Windows troubleshooting couldnt find the problem and someone on windows community forum advised that the old AOL software was the problem and i was best to switch to an alternative browser. Looks like a new laptops needed unless you think that this is a fixeable issue.
With Thanks
