Operating System: Chrome OS

All our printers stopped printing, after Chrome OS 109. 

  • We are using Google Workspace Enterprise.
  • Printer installation CUPS, driverless configuration. 
  • ipps://ip-adres:443/pin/print or ipps://ip-adres:631/pin/print

 

  • After updating to Chrome OS 111 it still doesn't work, with the option driverless configuration. 
  • But when we explicitly choose a printer driver then de jobs start running again, but it stopped printing in colour, all print jobs are black and white.
  • After that we tried the printerdrivers HP color laserjet mfp e57540 and the HP color laserjet flow e57540 without success.
  • So we are glad that our users can print, but it stopped printing in colour. All Google print preferences are all-sett in colour.
