Same as everybody else but no answer from HP.
One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software.

I also managed to get a live person by calling the phone number on my Instantink invoice. The computer switched me to an agent when I told it I had a problem with the print driver. The agent then guided me through the process of deleting the old software installation and then installing the new one.
The printer is now working.

It really looks like those who are experiencing this issue are running older software signed with a certificate that expired today.
Please update your software using HP Easy Start as mentioned above.
1. Download HP Easy Start
2. Follow the prompts for setting up your printer. When you get to the software download it will show whether the software needs updated or not. If it does the box next to Printer Essentials will be checked by default and you just need to select the Install button.
The following should not be necessary but if you want to be extra diligent and guarantee a clean new install.
1. Download HP Easy Start
2. Open HP Easy Start and Select the HP Easy Start Menu in the macOS menu bar. In this menu select Uninstall HP Software.
3.Select Continue to start the Uninstall process
4. Once the uninstall completes. Select Set Up New Device.
5. Go through the new device setup process by following the prompts.
6. This will lead to the software download/install prompt.
7. Select install and the remaining prompts to finish the process.
Edit: Systems administrators and those unable to use HP Easy Start can use HP Easy Admin to download the software pkg files directly.

SOLVED!!! I found a live HP person - uninstalled HP app, reset the printing in preferences and redownloaded from 123.hp/com
This is an apple issue that may be fine if your printer has 'air' something, but the total uninstall and redownload worked. HOORAY! please share!

I have been on an endless loop trying to find out how to reinstall the driver on an Officejet Pro 8630. The website is entirely confusing. To be short, the HP Easy Start does not recognize the printer that seems to need the reinstall while recognizing the one that does not. When I remove the ethernet cable, it still doesn't recognize it; in fact, the situation gets even worse. I think I have put it in set up mode though it doesn't exactly explain what to do completely. I simply click on Setup on the printer screen. It doesn't seem to stay visible so I don't know whether it remains in set up mode. I am out of options.
Interestingly, I have two iMacs set up for printing on this printer: one says I need a new cartridge and the other does not.
