HP laserjet pro m126 nw
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

i had downloaded the driver on my laptop which came along my laserjet pro m126nw printer  and it successfully installed but somehow it did not show in my printers options at the time of printing a document for a trial, so i uninstalled the software, then i again tried to reinstall with the help of the cd which came along as well by downloading from hp website the software and both times and error came saying that some files are still uninstalled from your previous download so extracting them and the laptop needs to be rebooted for them to completely get uninstalled from your laptop. so i accepted and followed but apparently it is not working ??? i have tried almost several times and the same thing which keeps on happening, and my laptop have been rebooted several  times but still not completely the process  ,

i am not a tech savvy person but i really need help to solve this and make it running so that i can finish my work , i have never had issues like this i also happen to have laserjet  1020 plus  and that was very easy to install and have been with me since many years ,

@malhotraarti21

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Laserjet  printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall, click here.

  • If the issue continues, uninstall and reinstall printer Basic drivers from the link: Click here
  • If the issue still continues, install using the Windows Built-in Print DriverClick here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
