As the connection with WIFI is often poor in our building, the "printer cannot be found" is soo frustrating (often on the most needed moment, this problem not to be able to print/scan.

When I connect it with the usb cable, it cannot be found either.

Now I have re-installed with the usb cable and works well, but only with the usb now.

Can I install both printers (the hp5232 with usb connection and the hp5232 with wifi connection, one next to the other and select one of both in the printer choice dropdown when printing?

This would allow me to use the comfort of the wireless printing on most days and still be able to fall back on the printing with usb cable without rehastle (and re-installing the whole thing)

I use OIS mojave, macbook pro, printer software hp smart and hp easy scan
Thanks for your info!

best regards, Mia

Yes, you can install the same printer on USB and on wi-fi, you will have 2 printers in your devices. Don't forget to rename them so you can recognise which one is USB and wich is wireless.
