Hi @SidSussex
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thank you for reaching out .
I understand that your HP OfficeJet 3835 All-in-One Printer is printing successfully from one laptop, while the other laptop displays a "User Intervention Required" message. I'll be glad to help you with this.
To better understand the situation, kindly help us with the following details:
- What is the make and model of the laptop that is showing the error?
- Is the affected laptop connected to the printer via Wi-Fi or USB?
- Does the issue occur with all documents or only specific files?
- Are you able to print a test page from the printer preferences?
In the meantime, kindly try the following steps and confirm :
- Restart the affected laptop, printer, and Wi-Fi router.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners and select the HP OfficeJet 3835.
- Check if there are any print jobs stuck in the queue. If there are, clear them and try printing again.
- Run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter:
- Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other Troubleshooters
- Run the Printer troubleshooter.
- Remove and re-add the printer:
- Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners
- Remove the printer
- Restart the laptop
- Add the printer again.
- If you have not already done so, update or reinstall the HP printer driver using HP App.
