How do I keep my MFP M29w printer working when Rosetta goes away with MacOS28. Does it have any intel-based apps that need updating to Apple Silicon?   If so, how do I update

I  understand your concern about keeping your printer working smoothly as macOS evolves.  

Currently, most HP printers including the M29w use drivers and software that are already optimized for macOS on Apple Silicon.

Upon checking the  support website, The Printer Model your using already has an update till macOS Tahoe . 
 

Here are a few steps you can try: 

  1.  Visit HP’s support website https://support.hp.com/  and download the latest HP Easy Start for macOS.
  2.  Install or update the HP app from the Mac App Store, which is Apple Silicon–ready.
