HP OfficeJet 6950 All-in-One Printer

This printer has a wifi only connection.  In recent months it has become very random as to the time it takes to connect. Rarely is it immediate.  Sometimes it takes up to 5 minutes. The printer is connected to wifi and the Mac is on the same one.  I have removed and reinstalled a few times   The software is up to date. Any suggestions?

Hi @arnsider,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Have you done any changes to your network or printer?

Do you get an error message when trying to connect to the Wi-Fi?
Are you connecting the printer to a 2.4Ghz network or 5Ghz network?

What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?

How is the printer connected USB or Wireless?
What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?

Meanwhile, follow the steps from this document here and see how it goes.

Also, try and update the Mac os and firmware. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I"m afraid that does not help.  If you red my post you will see I have already answered your questions.  I am on a Mac with good wifi connection wifi only printer.  The printer's connection is fine and software is up to date.

Hi @arnsider,

Did you check if the router is near the Printer? If not try and check if that helps.

Otherwise, This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue
