Hi @conniefrist,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how important it is to restore that smooth connection between your Mac running MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e.

Let’s walk through the steps to reconnect your printer:

1. Restart Devices:

  • Power off your printer, Mac, and your wireless router.
  • Wait about 60 seconds, then turn them all back on.

2. Check Printer's Wireless Connection:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Wireless Settings.
  • Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • If needed, reconnect the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

3. Remove and Re-add the Printer on Mac:

  • On your Mac, click the Apple menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP printer from the list and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Then click the plus (+) button to add the printer back.
  • Make sure you select your printer showing as “Bonjour” or “Bonjour Multifunction” (for wireless printing).

 4. Update HP Software (if needed):

5. Reset Printing System (only if issues persist):
(Caution: This will remove all printers from your Mac.)

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control + Click) in the printer list, then choose Reset Printing System.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
