Hi @musicnut,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The process to turn off auto firmware updates will vary depending on the device or software you are using. However, here are some general steps that may help.

  • Check the settings of your device or software to see if there is an option to disable auto firmware updates. This option may be located in the "Settings" menu or the "Preferences" section.
  • If you are using a computer or laptop, you can typically disable firmware updates through the BIOS or UEFI settings. You can access these settings by restarting your computer and pressing the appropriate key (usually F2 or Del) during the startup process. Once you're in the BIOS or UEFI settings, look for an option to disable firmware updates.
  • If you are using a router, you may need to log in to the router's web interface and look for a firmware update setting. Depending on the router, this option may be located under "System," "Administration," or "Advanced" settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
