Next.
If Duplex is supported on this size paper, it will usually be available during job configuration.
If the A5 paper size does not show in the list of standard paper sizes, create a Custom Paper Size form.

You are welcome.
If I have anything else to add to installing the full driver, custom paper size, and job setup,
I will post back.

Hate jumping in but just an observation. Some paper sizes are blocked from duplexing because the dimensions are not long enough to allow the paper to move through the printer properly. I am guessing that the hardware cannot handle A5 if you are printing in the direction of the 5.82" side (long edge first). Feeding the paper short edge first and creating a custom paper size should work but the only way to be sure is to try. Some sizes are blocked to prevent users from damaging the printer or getting frustrated by repeated jams.

@Repairatrooper is correct, of course.
Printers are limited to not only paper size support - also a factor: paper size and paper type, too.
"Will this definitely work? "
Specifications > Paper Handling
Media sizes supported (metric) | A4; A5; B5; DL; C6; A6 |
From the Datasheet -HP ENVY 6020 All-in-One Printer :
Media size Custom (metric): Simplex: 76.2 x 127 mm to 216 x 297
mm; Duplex: 76.2 x 127 mm to 216 x 297 mm
Supported (metric): A4; A5; B5; DL; C6; A6
If it is going to work, the installation of the full driver provides access to the printer features.
... Possibly, the creation of a Custom Paper Size form.
From what I can see, the custom paper size form is perhaps not needed - the A5 appears to be a supported standard size.
What else?
Paper Size is one part -- paper type is related but separate.
For example, duplex printing might work on A5 plain paper but perhaps would not work on a different paper type.
There are no guarantees -- you can try if you would like to do so.

OK - I guess that's your answer.
Sometimes the answer is "No".
If you want do to do so,
Create a document with the "front" side content on page 1 and the "backside" content on Page 2.
Save - Print on regular paper in duplex and cut the paper in half.
Will that work?
Might, as long as you manage the content and the page sizes in the document correctly.
