Hi rdayse

Please try the following procedures to try to resolve your problem:

1.  Print Settings Check (The Quick Fix)

The first thing to check is that the printing application hasn't accidentally been set to only print the current page.

  • Check Page Range: Open the Print dialog box (usually by pressing $\text{Ctrl} + \text{P}$ in most applications).

    • Look for the Page Range setting. Ensure it is set to "All Pages" or has a valid range (e.g., "1-5") and not set to "Current Page" or "Selection."

  • Print as Image (PDFs Only): If you are printing a PDF, the file may be too complex for the printer's memory (spooling).

    • In the Print dialog box of Adobe Reader, click Advanced and check the box that says "Print as Image." This sends the job to the printer as one simple graphic, which often bypasses these errors.

2.  Power Cycle / Hard Reset (The Simple Reset)

This clears any temporary errors in the printer's memory and connection.

  1. Turn the printer ON.

  2. Unplug: Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.

  3. Unplug from Wall: Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

  4. Wait: Wait for 60 seconds.

  5. Plug Back In: Plug the power cord directly back into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or power strips temporarily).

  6. Turn ON: Reconnect the cord to the back of the printer and turn it on.

  7. Test: Try printing your multi-page document again.

3.  Spooler and Driver Issues

The print spooler is a Windows service that manages print jobs. If it gets stuck, it can interrupt jobs after the first page.

  • Restart the Print Spooler (Windows):

    1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box.

    2. Type services.msc and press Enter.

    3. Scroll down to "Print Spooler," right-click it, and select Restart.

    4. If restarting doesn't work, right-click, select Stop, wait a few seconds, then right-click and select Start.

  • Update or Reinstall Drivers: Outdated or corrupted drivers are a frequent cause.

    1. Go to the HP Support website and search for the latest drivers and full feature software for the HP DeskJet 2852e.

    2. Uninstall the printer software/drivers from your computer, restart your computer, and then install the freshly downloaded software package.

4. Test Hardware Function

If the software steps fail, try the following to isolate the problem:

  • Perform a Copy: Place a multi-page document on the scanner glass and use the printer's buttons to make two black-and-white copies.

    • If the copies work correctly: The printer hardware is fine, and the problem is definitely with your computer's connection or software/drivers.

    • If the copies fail (only the first page prints): The issue is a deeper internal hardware or firmware problem with the printer itself. In this case, check for any available firmware updates via the HP Smart app.

I hope the above is helpful
