Hi @rjae,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to print stickers on your HP Wireless Ink Tank 415 and avoid smudging. Let’s go through a few steps to check how to set it up correctly.

Use the correct sticker paper
Make sure you are using inkjet-compatible sticker paper, not laser paper.
Laser sticker paper will cause smudging and paper feed issues.

Load the paper correctly
Place the sticker paper in the input tray with the printable side facing up.
Load only a few sheets at a time to prevent jams.

Select the correct paper type in print settings
Open Print Preferences before printing.
Set Paper Type to Specialty Paper, Photo Paper, or Inkjet Paper (based on what is available).

Adjust print quality
Set Print Quality to Normal or Best.
Higher quality uses more ink but improves adhesion and reduces patchy prints.

Disable fast or draft printing
Make sure Draft or Fast Print modes are turned OFF.
These modes apply ink too quickly and increase smudging risk.

Allow proper drying time
After printing, let the sticker sheet dry flat for at least 10–15 minutes.
Do not stack or touch the stickers immediately after printing.

Test before final printing
Print one test sticker first.
Check for smudging and adjust quality or paper type if needed.

Understand ink limitations
The Ink Tank 415 uses dye-based ink, which is not waterproof.
Stickers may smudge if exposed to moisture unless laminated or sealed.

I hope this helps.
