wireless printing disabled hp office jet pro 8610

i’m trying to set up wireless printing in my hp office jet pro 8610.  i get a message that wireless capabilities have been disabled and to contact my administrator.  we don’t have an administrator.  i Googled for solutions and found many posts in this forum showing the problem has been  solved but, for some reason, the solution isn’t posted.  would someone please send it to me?

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer, which are particular for your printer model. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
