Can I keep my printer plugged in to my desktop as it has been for the last 3-4 years and also do wireless printing from my laptop and another desktop that's connected to the wireless network? I didn't set it up when I first got the printer.

Welcome to HP support community.

 

Computer should be connected either to Wireless network or Wired network.

You can not have one computer connected with Wire and the rest to Wireless connection.

Both Wired and Wireless connection will not work at a time in the printer.
