@MAJ22, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand that you're facing issues with your HP ENVY 6032 printer showing as offline and in sleep mode, along with a Word printing error. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this:

Wake Up the Printer

  • Press the Power button once to wake up the printer from sleep mode.
  • If the printer remains unresponsive, restart it by unplugging it for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in.

Set the Printer as Default

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on HP ENVY 6032 and select Set as default printer.
  • Check if the printer status changes from "Offline" to "Ready."

Restart Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any printer-related issues automatically.

Check Word Print Settings

  • Open Microsoft Word, go to File > Print, and ensure HP ENVY 6032 is selected as the active printer.
  • If you see an error, try printing a document from another application (like Notepad or a PDF file).

Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • Uninstall the existing printer driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Download and install the latest HP Smart App or Full Feature Driver from the HP Support website.

After following these steps, try printing again. Let me know if you need further assistance!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

@MAJ22, It’s great to hear that HP Smart shows the printer as "ready to go" and that the web access test results are all clear. Since the issue persists, let's try a few more steps:

Try a Different App

Since Word is giving the error, can you check if you’re able to print from another app, like Notepad or a PDF viewer?

If printing works from another app, the issue might be specific to Word.

Reset the Print Spooler Again

Sometimes, even after a restart, the print spooler needs a full reset:

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click, and choose Stop.

Open C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS (you may need admin permission).

Delete any files inside this folder.

Go back to services.msc, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

Try printing again.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
