Error Message "Unable to Communicate with the printer"

HP Envy 5530e-All In One Series
Chrome OS

Computer is a Toshiba Chromebook, trying to print an email attachment to an HP Envy 5530e-All In One Series.  Get the message  "Unable to communicate with the printer"  - its a wireless connection and printer shows connectivity to the network.  Chromebook has aged out of getting automatic updates, might this be the issue?  Its been awhile since I printed anything, but worked fine at that time, with no changes since.  Any help would be appreciated!
