After installing printer on my Apple IMAC, I get the message 'configuring device' when trying to print. This message stays on screen for ages without actually configuring the device.

To assist you better, I would like to know the following-
Did you install the printer using the HP Smart App?
How is the printer connected to your computer, USB/Wireless?
Is there any antivirus/security software installed on your computer?
Also, share the screenshot of the error screen for further isolating the issue.
