So I'm having trouble with my new OJ5255. Apparently others are as well. I came across a Solution Found! item in the support pages by a HP Support person from just 3 weeks ago sending people to a link for a Full Feature download that corrected the problem. However, since the original questioner, who indicated the download worked great for her, other - myself included - only get a site temporarily unavailable message when trying the link.

I have some functionality but cannot scan from the device to the computer. It's a bit of a pain to have to open the HP Assistant program every time I want to scan something.

Will another fix be coming? If not, I may have to return this printer.

Welcome to HP support community.

Remove and reinstall the printer driver

  • Click Start, type Device Manager, and press Enter.
  • Find printer and double-click the on it.
  • Right-click the device, and click Uninstall
  • Windows will prompt you to confirm the device's removal.

Download and install printer and scanner driver

Click here to download the driver.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
