HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer series - J611
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Our HP printer and HP Pavillion laptop won't connect to each other.

The IP address we have for the printer is different to the IP address the printer displays yet we can't change the Printer IP on the laptop?!?!

Any help gratefully received! We can't print our schoolwork and it's getting stressful.

@mccormack

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Use the printer control panel to print a Wireless Network Test, and then continue to the next step.

  • HP printers with a control panel menu: Open the Wireless menu, touch the Setup icon , touch Print Reports, and then touch Wireless Test Report.

If no matching networks are detected, your printer can find your unique network name (SSID). You do not need to troubleshoot the network name.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
