Hi @Robby553,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
The HP Smart Tank 7001 printer does not support 5GHz wireless networks. It only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi bands for wireless connectivity.
If you're trying to connect the printer to a 5GHz network, you'll need to switch to a 2.4GHz network on your router. Many modern routers are dual-band, meaning they can broadcast both 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals simultaneously. You can connect the printer to the 2.4GHz band and keep your other devices on the 5GHz band if needed.
Here’s how to connect it properly:
- Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz network.
- During the printer setup, choose the 2.4GHz network on the printer or the HP Smart app to establish the connection.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
