Good day,
Recently, my printer started displaying a 169 error—Adipa address. I am a retired sys-admin for the DoD, but I only speak a little HP. This printer is rather old(2011) and has always worked flawlessly. It has been working for quite a while on this "Linux Mint" distro, but now only pulls a 169. I have done all the troubleshooting I can think of. The wireless cards turn on, but will not acquire a valid IP. Could the card just be bad and have bit the dust, so to speak? Are there any other hidden secrets or tricks I can try? Thanks for your time, salute!

A big thanks to the replies concerning this issue. I was able to resolve the problem with a last-ditch effort of resetting the printer back to the factory defaults. After that, and losing all my settings, of course, the machine did pull a local 192.169 address. I had been experiencing sporadic issues with this printer for a while, even when Windows 11 was installed. Thanks to me for saving this timeless relic. Salute!
