Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Acer Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer will not connect wirelessly to my network.  I've reset my router and done the network setup repeatedly on the display screen.  I ran the wireless network test and got the "solution" but I don't know how to implement it.  The solution says

 " if MAC address filtering is enabled and you would like to keep it enabled, you must add the MAC address of your printer (available in the test report) to the list of permitted devices for your wireless router before continuing."

If it's enabled where?  My printer is showing up at being on my network but I have no idea where to add this information.  I was able to see the IP address for my computer on my network through the settings through my cable provider but don't see where to add the MAC address.  I thought I could add the static IP address on the printer to get it to connect, but that didn't work either.

HELP!  This printer has been working for YEARS and just started this two days ago.

@VAComedyGirl

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • 1. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.
  • 2. Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, select Reports, and then select Print Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.

Now try to connect the printer to the network.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
