Hi @Flower-garden1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're facing connectivity issues between your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e printer and your laptop. Here are some steps that you can follow to troubleshoot this problem:

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your laptop. If your printer is connected via Wi-Fi, verify that the Wi-Fi light is solid blue, indicating that the connection is established.

  • Use the printer's control panel to verify the network settings. You can check this by accessing the control panel and navigating to Menu > Utilities > Settings > Network > Wi-Fi and then touching View Details.

Software and Drivers:

  • Make sure the HP software and drivers are installed on your laptop. You can download the latest drivers from HP's official website.

  • Make sure your printer is selected as the default printer in your Windows settings. You can find this under Printers & Scanners in the control panel.

Check for Errors:

  • Look for any error messages or codes on the printer display, which may give you clues about the issue.

  • If there are any pending error messages, follow the instructions to resolve them.

Print Settings:

  • Make sure the print settings match the document you are trying to print. Verify the paper size and type settings in the print driver.

Update Printer Settings:

  • If there have been any changes made recently to your laptop or network settings, make sure your printer settings are updated accordingly in the HP software.

Restart Devices:

  • Try restarting your laptop and printer. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Troubleshoot through the HP Smart App:

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
