A custom password has been set for you printer. Cannot reset.

I am trying to connect my printer to my wifi but everytime I try it says "A custom password has been set for your printer, Please enter the password". Problem is I do not remember setting up any password. Tried multiple button codes and other things which I could find online and the printer information print says "Admin password: Not Set". But it still comes back to this page. Please help.

This is a very common and frustrating issue. It's essentially a catch-22: you need the password to get into the printer's settings to change the WiFi, but you don't know the password. You can resolve this with a factory reset performed directly on the printer, which will clear the unknown password and all other settings.

Through the Setup Menu
Turn on the printer. Look for a Setup or Settings button on the control panel (often a gear icon).
Use the arrow keys to navigate to Printer Maintenance or a similar option.
Find and select Restore Defaults, Factory Reset, or Reset All Settings.
Confirm the reset when prompted. The printer will restart with factory settings.

Through Button Combination.
Turn off the printer. Press and hold the Resume button (the one with a triangle in a circle) and the Power button simultaneously. Keep holding them until the printer starts the reset process, then release the buttons and wait for it to restart.

After the Reset, once the printer restarts, the unknown password will be cleared, but you'll also need to set it up again from scratch. This is your chance to reconfigure the WiFi and, if you want, set a password you'll actually remember.

Reconnect to WiFi: Use the printer's control panel to connect to your home WiFi network again. You'll need to enter your network's SSID and password.

Reinstall with HP Smart: The easiest way to finish setting up and add the printer to your computer or phone is to use the HP Smart app. It will guide you through the final steps.

Consider the Admin Password: After you're back in control, you can choose to set a new admin password for the Embedded Web Server. The printer's default state is "open" (no password), which allows anyone on your network to access its settings. If you want to secure it, just make sure you store the new password somewhere safe.

This process should get you back in control and connected to your WiFi. Let me know how it goes!

Can you try entering the password: 12345678  and let me know if that works?

You may be able to do a factory reset on this printer model by plugging in a USB cable to a Windows PC and using the HP Smart app to reach the embedded webserver (without a required password, because it's over USB).  If the 12345678 password doesn't work, I can give more details on the factory reset over USB to clear the custom password.

The password did not work. I am using USB to connect currently and it is still asking for password. The device is not connected to wifi due to Password wall.

Sorry to hear that didn't work. It seems like there really does seem to be some custom password set.  

If your Wi-Fi router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) push button, you could try this method to get it onto your network for printing and scanning without needing the admin password.  The procedure is described in the user guide on PDF page 75 (numbered page 68) https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05790186.pdf

If you want to try a more drastic wipe/reset settings button sequence, you can try holding the Wi-Fi Direct (button 4) and Cancel (button 2) buttons together while plugging in the power cable.  This has a risk of clearing the printer region, which could have side effects.  Only try if you have exhausted all other options
