To connect your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer to your phone, you can use Wi-Fi Direct or HP Smart App, which are both excellent ways to print from your mobile device. Below are the methods you can use:

Method 1: Using Wi-Fi Direct

Steps to Connect via Wi-Fi Direct:

Turn on your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer.

• Press the Power button to turn the printer on.

Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the Printer:

• On the printer, press the Wireless button and the Information button (the one with the letter "i").
• The printer will print a Network Configuration Page that includes the Wi-Fi Direct settings. Look for the Wi-Fi Direct name and password (it will be something like "DIRECT-XX-HP LaserJet Pro M15w").

Connect Your Phone to the Printer’s Wi-Fi Direct:

• On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings.
• Look for the Wi-Fi Direct network that appears (the printer's network name from the configuration page).
• Select the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network and enter the password (if prompted) to establish the connection.

Print from Your Phone:

• Once connected, open the document or photo you want to print on your phone.
• Use your phone's print option:
  • On Android: Tap the three dots in the corner of the document/photo app, select Print, and then choose your printer.
  • On iPhone: Tap the Share icon (box with an upward arrow), select Print, and choose your printer.
• Your printer should now be available as a printing option.

Method 2: Using the HP Smart App

HP’s HP Smart App allows you to print, scan, and manage your printer from your phone.

Steps to Set Up HP Smart App:

Install the HP Smart App:

• Download and install the HP Smart App from the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iPhone).
• HP Smart is free and compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

Connect Your Printer to Your Phone:

• Open the HP Smart app.
• Tap + (or Add Printer) to find your printer.
• Follow the prompts to connect your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer to the app.
  • If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
  • If your printer isn’t connected to Wi-Fi yet, the app will walk you through connecting the printer to your network.

Print from the HP Smart App:

• Once your printer is connected to the app, you can easily print from your phone.
• From the app, select Print from the home screen or any document you'd like to print.
• Follow the on-screen options to select print settings (number of copies, color options, etc.).

Method 3: Using Google Cloud Print (Android only)

While Google Cloud Print was discontinued in 2020, some printers (including HP) still support this feature through the HP Smart App.

If your HP LaserJet Pro M15w is connected to your network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and the app is set up, you can use Cloud Print to print from anywhere as long as you're logged into the same Google account.

1. Open the document or photo you want to print.
2. Tap the three dots in the corner of the document.
3. Select Print.
4. Choose Cloud Print as the printer (if available).

Method 4: Using Apple AirPrint (iPhone/iPad only)

If you're using an iPhone or iPad, you can use AirPrint, Apple's native printing solution:

1. Connect the printer to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.
2. Open the document, photo, or email you want to print.
3. Tap the Share icon (box with an upward arrow).
4. Select Print.
5. Select your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer from the list of available printers.
6. Adjust any settings and tap Print.
