Hi @bwheat305,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Got it when the Microsoft Print to PDF or similar option disappears, it usually means the feature was disabled in Windows settings or the printer driver list. Let’s bring it back:

Step 1: Check Windows Features

  1. Press Win + R, type optionalfeatures, and hit Enter.
  2. Scroll down to Microsoft Print to PDF.
  3. If unchecked, check it, click OK, and restart your PC.

Step 2: Reinstall the Print to PDF Printer

  1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners.
  2. Click Add a printer or scanner.
  3. Select the printer that I want isn’t listed.
  4. Choose Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.
  5. Select PORTPROMPT: (Local Port).
  6. Under Manufacturer, choose Microsoft, then Microsoft Print to PDF.
  7. Finish setup.

Step 3: Verify in Apps

  • Open Word or any app, go to Print, and confirm Microsoft Print to PDF is listed.

If you’re on macOS, the equivalent is Save as PDF in the print dialog, which is built-in and cannot be removed, so if it’s missing, it’s likely an app-specific issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
