I have a number of posts on this here and followed the advice given to connect my new printer to my iPhone. My iPhone and Printer are on the same network and both using 5G.  My printer has the latest Firmware and my iPhone is on IOS 26.2.  I rebooted the Printer, Router and iPhone. Immediately afterwards HP Smart connected to the printer and I was able to print a document. An hour later they refused to talk to each other again. The phone just says it cannot find the printer.  All my four Microsoft PC's can connect fine to the printer.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi @Alan_in_Hemel,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing difficulties using Apple AirPrint with your HP ENVY Inspire printer, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Verify Network Connection:

  • Ensure both your iPhone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is crucial as AirPrint requires devices to be on the same network.
  • On your iPhone, make sure Wi-Fi is on, and there is a check mark next to the network.
  • On the printer's touchscreen control panel, check the network status under the Wireless settings.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Make sure that AirPrint is enabled in the printer settings. You can access this through the printer's Embedded Web Server by entering the printer's IP address in a web browser.

Troubleshoot Network Issues:

  • Move the printer closer to the router to improve signal strength.
  • Restart your router by unplugging it for 15 seconds and then plugging it back in, which can help resolve connectivity issues.

Firmware and iOS Updates:

  • Confirm that your printer firmware is up-to-date by checking for updates on the printer or via the HP Official HP® Support.
  • Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS as updates can resolve compatibility and bug issues.

Reinitiate Connections:

  • Turn off both your printer and iPhone. Wait a few seconds, and then turn them back on to reset their connections.
  • After restarting, re-establish the network connections and try printing again.

Alternate Printing Methods:

Take care and have an amazing day!
