Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I think HP Smart has a serious usability problem on Android regarding print queue management.

We use an HP Laser MFP 137fnw in a multi-user environment where several people print wirelessly from Android phones. The printer itself is usually online and reachable, but when a print job fails or gets interrupted, Android and HP Smart often leave the job stuck in the print queue.

After that:

- HP Smart reports the printer as unavailable even when it is online

- Android keeps showing “Printing...” forever

- New print jobs fail

- Restarting the phone often does not clear the stuck jobs

- Users end up reinstalling apps or changing settings randomly

We discovered that Android keeps persistent print jobs in the Print Spooler, but HP Smart gives users no visibility or control over this situation.

Please consider adding:

- A visible print queue section inside HP Smart

- Detection of stuck/zombie print jobs

- A “Clear Print Queue” or “Reset Printing System” option

- Better diagnostics explaining WHY printing failed

- Warnings when Android switches networks during Wi-Fi Direct printing

Right now the app monitors toner levels much better than actual print job health.

For office environments using Android wireless printing, queue management and recovery tools are much more important than cloud features or toner notifications.
