When printing from Email (Google email, Pixel 7, Android), I can't find a way to select duplex print. It's always single-sided.

Any ideas?

Hi @Rich-88,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with duplex printing on your HP M283fdw printer when printing from Google email on your Pixel 7 with Android, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

Printer Settings:

  • Check the printer settings on your HP M283fdw. Make sure that the duplex printing option is enabled. You can usually find this option in the printer settings or properties on the printer itself.

Print Settings in the Email App:

  • When you're in the email app on your Pixel 7 and ready to print, look for any print settings within the app itself. Some email apps have print settings that allow you to configure duplex printing. Check for a "More settings" or "Printer settings" option.

Google Cloud Print:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to Google Cloud Print. Open the Google Cloud Print app on your Android device, check if your printer is listed, and make sure it's properly configured.

Driver Update:

  • Ensure that you have the latest HP printer drivers installed on your Pixel 7. Sometimes, updating the printer drivers can resolve compatibility issues and enable additional printing options.

Use Google Chrome:

  • If you're printing directly from the Chrome browser, try using the Google Chrome app on your Pixel 7. Open the email in the Chrome browser and use the browser's print option. Chrome often provides more printing options, and it may give you the ability to select duplex printing.

Check Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your HP M283fdw printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can address bugs and improve functionality.

Consult the Printer Manual:

  • Refer to your printer's manual or documentation for specific instructions on duplex printing. It may provide insights or steps that are specific to your printer model.

By checking these settings and options, you should be able to troubleshoot and identify the cause of the duplex printing issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
