Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I have had great luck with my 8600 but I am finding it harder and harder to find HP print cartridges.  I have read that some non-HP brands will not work.

Sooo ....  I guess it is time to start looking for an HP replacement.   I like everything about the 8600 but would not mind with two  paper trays.

my requirements:

Update/Current model

At least as fast or fast than the 8600

fax is not important (who faxes now?)

Internet RJ45 + WIFI

Paper tray (50+)

Double-sided / feed tray  printing

Scan

Any help or suggestions on what to buy and what not to buy

Thank you for your advice, opinions, and time in advance

There are buying guides here and also here.

Some of the 86xx series printers will accept any type of ink, not just HP ink.  You might be interested in one of those.
