Hi @Mani1410, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A blinking Wi-Fi light on your HP LaserJet M140w indicates that the printer is not connected to Wi-Fi. Here are some steps to fix the issue:

Step 1: Restart Everything

  1. Turn off your printer, router, and iPhone.
  2. Wait for 30 seconds, then turn on the router and wait for it to fully start.
  3. Turn on the printer and your iPhone.

Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Using HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
  2. Download or open the HP Smart app from the App Store.
  3. Tap Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. If the printer is not detected, reset network settings on the printer:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (or Wireless button) on the printer for 5 seconds until the light starts blinking rapidly.
    • Then, go back to the HP Smart app and try adding the printer again.

Using WPS (If Your Router Supports It)

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until it blinks rapidly.
  2. On your router, press the WPS button and hold for a few seconds.
  3. The printer should connect within 2 minutes. If successful, the Wi-Fi light will turn solid.

Step 3: Check Router Settings

  • Make sure your printer and iPhone are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5GHz).
  • If your router has MAC address filtering, add the printer’s MAC address to the allowed list.

Step 4: Reset Printer Network Settings (If Needed)

If the issue persists, reset the printer network settings:

  1. Press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons for 5 seconds until the light blinks.
  2. Then, try reconnecting using the HP Smart app.

The very first step on this reply (restart router) did the trick.  While I suppose that should have been intuitive, for me it was not.  Since  the printer is now beyond warranty period, I was already having thoughts of having to replace the printer, which is not much more expensive than buying a limited term support option.  So this level of assistance from Max was extremely valuable to me -- and I wanted to pass along my sincere thanks for his time and expertise here.  Tom
