HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

Seems to be a common issue based on all the posts I have seen. I own this printer and have not changed anything with my home network or the printer. It just started giving me this message. I don't get a prompt anywhere to reset the network settings just to reset to factory defaults which did nothing to fix the problem.

Hi @ftworthrushfan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the built-in network capabilities on your HP device have been disabled, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.

  • Check for any physical damage: Make sure there is no physical damage to your device's network hardware, such as a broken Ethernet port or damaged network adapter.
  • Check network settings: Ensure that the network settings on your device are configured correctly. Check that your device is not in Airplane mode, that Wi-Fi is turned on, and that you are connected to the correct network.
  • Check device drivers: Ensure that your device's network drivers are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest drivers for your device.
  • Restart your device: Sometimes a simple restart can help fix network connectivity issues. Try restarting your device and see if the issue resolves.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I tried all of this before contacting you.

We have always printed wirelessly on this printer to there is no physical connection to get damaged.

It's a printer, there is no Airplane Mode and I can't enable WiFi on it because of the error I am asking about.

Drivers have been updated.

And unplugging it was the first thing I tried.

Almost every other entry has this comment from HP Support:

"I'm going to send you some directions regarding how to perform a factory reset on your printer. You should see them in a private message shortly."

Every chat says this reset worked. This is what I need.
