Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the non WiFi version of this printer and have connected it via ethernet to a WiFi extender. It is available on my network but cannot connect to the internet.

during setup, I was prompted with a question asking if i needed a proxy to connect to the internet to which I answered no.

 

when I try to enable web services, I get an error message " Internal processing error, retry your last selection. If the problem continues, check for firmware updates"

 

I found a firmware update to 20140616 which I successfully installed. but this has made no difference.
