Hi to all,

I would like to activate the web service to use HP ePrinter Center, but when I click on "enable" button from device web console, web services tab, it returns an error "unable to connect, check internet connection", but internet connection is ok.

Any suggestion?

I understand you are facing a web services issue with your HP LaserJet Pro CP1525n Color Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

Let's perform a power drain: 

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
  • Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

If the issue persists, then please follow the below steps:

 

To refresh your printer's wireless connection, restart the printer, computer, and router.

  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  7. Turn on the computer.

Let's disable webservices and re-enable it

  • Take down the IP address of the printer by printing a Network report
  • Open a web browser and type in the printer's IP
  • click on webservices and remove webservices and re-enable it

I followed the steps on your post, but the problem still persist.

I've attached a screenshot of the issue:

The latest firmware for my printer is released on 2014, perhaps the "activated" button forward to a dismissed url.
