@Dinesh106, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, you can print from your mobile phone using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable with your HP Smart Tank 529 All-in-One printer, but there are a few important things to keep in mind:

Requirements:

  1. OTG-compatible smartphone (most Android phones support OTG).
  2. USB OTG adapter/cable to connect your phone to the printer’s USB Type-B port.
  3. HP Print Service Plugin installed on your Android device.
  4. HP Smart Tank 529 printer powered on and ready.

Note: iPhones do not support USB OTG printing. For iOS, use Wi-Fi Direct or HP Smart app instead.

Steps to Print via USB OTG from Android:

Install the HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store.

Connect your phone to the printer using the OTG cable:

  • Plug the USB Type-B end into the printer.
  • Connect the USB end to the OTG adapter, then plug it into your phone.

Allow permissions when prompted on your phone to access the USB device.

Open the document or photo you want to print.

Tap the Share or Print option and select HP Print Service Plugin as the printer.

Adjust print settings if needed, then tap Print.

Additional Tips:

  • If your phone doesn’t detect the printer, try restarting both devices.
  • Make sure the printer is not in an error state (like low ink or paper jam).
  • USB OTG printing may not support scanning or advanced features for full functionality, consider using the HP Smart App over Wi-Fi Direct.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
