Can no longer connect printer to PC

This printer is such a piece of garbage. So sorry i bought it.

The printer will no longer connect to my PC. I have tried everything I can find to no avail.

Windows will no longer find the printer. I need to type in the ip address to get the installation process started. The useless HP app then takes me to the web to download the software. I run the downloaded software and it says it can't find the printer. I go through the process of using the find printer and again have to use the ip address. It finds the printer, installs the software then says it needs to activate the printer. It then goes back to the web and I have to repeat the process all over again using the ip address and then we are stuck in an endless loop of looking for the printer and installing software and activating printer. I can't be the only one having this problem.

Hope you are well, that issue may be related to compatibility between the HP software and computer, please uninstall the HP software that is currently installed. You can do it from control panel > programs > look for the HP printer software and uninstall it.  Once uninstall its completed, restart your computer and then go to this web page:  URL UPD , click the download button and select the country. then from the categories select, HP universal print driver (3) and download the HP universal print driver PostScript.  Download the file and then run it, select traditional mode, insert the IP address, select the driver and go next until the printer is installed successfully, then run some test pages.

Thanks but that doesn't work either. It runs and finishes and the printer driver is still not installed. Under printers in Windows it says the printer is there but the driver is unavailable. It looks as if the driver install did nothing.
