Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

I cannot access my printer settings in the EWS , In fact it doesn't show hardly any settings on my printers screen. I was in the admin settings through hp smart and I thought I was disabling having security on my printer (Hiding setting options etc) and apparently I enabled it so now I cant do anything on it as well as its no longer connected to the internet OR my PC so now I don't even know how to access it through my laptop. Please tell me what to do, i did this once before and ended up purchasing this printer because no o ne could help me not even multiple people i spoke to through hp support over the phone! Very frustrating I can't afford to buy a new printer every time this happens, I just bought this printer in December. I also am not sure if i have the correct admin log in info because I had made it to where the password wasn't anything but leaving it blank. I really hope i didn't screw myself over this bad Please help!!! dI cant find any way to reset the EWS beings i don't have access to the admin settings or my printer "device" on laptop or even on the printer itself! PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

understand you need to know how to reset your username and password on the embedded web server page on your printer.

Without restoring the network to defaults you cannot change the EWS username and password.

Try restoring the network settings to default and check if it helps.

  • Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network. Touch Restore
  • Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the
  • network defaults have been restored.

If the issue still persists try restoring the printer back to factory settings and check if it helps.

  • Touch (right arrow), touch Setup, select Reports and then select Print
  • Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify
  • that the network settings have been reset.

Also, try the steps recommended below.

  1. Open a web browser and type the printer IP address in the address field exactly as it appears on the Configuration Page, and then press Enter.

  2. Click the Security tab, and under General Security, set the local administrator password.

    1. Keep the username default as admin.

    2. Type the New Password and Verify Password.

    3. Navigate to the bottom of the page and click Apply.

Use these credentials the next time you Log In to the EWS. Refer to the printer user guide for more information. Click Here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
