I have changed my broadband provider/WFI and I can’t connect my HP CX 052B to the new WFI. I followed all the different instructions but none of them work

Hi @Brenda195,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble connecting your HP printer model CX 052B to your new WiFi network after changing broadband providers, you can follow these steps to try and resolve the issue:

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer/mobile device.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds and then turn them back on. This can reset any network errors.

Check Printer's Wireless Settings:

  • Ensure your printer is within range of your WiFi router.
  • Check the WiFi settings on your printer's control panel. Make sure it is attempting to connect to the correct network SSID.

Use HP App (if applicable):

Manually Connect to WiFi:

  • On the printer, navigate to the wireless setup menu and manually enter your WiFi details.

  • Ensure you enter the SSID (network name) and password correctly.

Check Router Settings:

  • Check if MAC address filtering is enabled on your router. If it is, add your printer's MAC address to the allowed list.

  • Ensure the router's frequency band (2.4GHz/5GHz) is compatible with the printer.

Firmware and Driver Updates:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware updates installed. You can check this through the Official HP® Support.

  • Reinstall/update the printer driver on your computer.

Network Name/Password Issues:

  • Ensure there are no special characters in the network name (SSID) or password that might be causing issues.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
