Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

macOS 10.14 Mojave

Changed my ink cartridge. My printer went offline. Wi fi is turned on but it is not connected to the network. Never changed wi fi or network.

Get a network or status print out. If it won't print a report then there's something wrong with it.

If you can print a network report make sure your IP address is in the same network as the printer

 

For MacOS this article explains how to get the IP address

Get a printer network report. The PINs and Passwords should show up. Here is the important stuff from a typical printer report. The password shown in Wi-Fi can be the printers PIN or the modem's password depending on how you connected to the modem. The printer can have two bands but the only one that is connected will show up.

Note that the printer and the computer are both 192.168.1
This means they are on the same subnet.
