Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I recently switched internet providers from AT&T to Spectrum.  When trying to add the printer using the new WiFi address it does not show up as an option.  I have tried restarting the router and printer.  It is a HP Desk Jet 2734e printer and a Spectrum 7 router.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Plou2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for reaching out. Switching internet providers can sometimes throw off devices like printers that were previously connected to a different network. Since your HP DeskJet 2734e isn’t showing up when trying to connect it to your new Spectrum 7 router, let’s walk through the steps to get it reconnected.

Step-by-Step: Reconnect HP DeskJet 2734e to New Wi-Fi

1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

This clears the old AT&T Wi-Fi info:

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel (X) button together for 5 seconds.
  3. The Wi-Fi light will start blinking. This means the printer is in setup mode.

This allows the printer to be rediscovered by the HP app.

2. Use the HP App to Reconnect

  1. Open the HP app or download HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Tap “+” to add a new printer.
  3. The app should detect your DeskJet 2734e in setup mode.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect it to your Spectrum Wi-Fi.

💡 Make sure your phone or laptop is also connected to the Spectrum Wi-Fi, not a guest or mobile hotspot.

3. Restart Devices if Printer Doesn’t Show Up

  • Restart your printer, router, and device running the HP app.
  • Try the setup again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
