Hi @Ccularoo22

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it feels when a new printer doesn’t connect as expected, and I appreciate you reaching out before diving into troubleshooting. To get a clear picture and isolate the cause, let’s gather some details first:

  • Could you share the exact printer model you purchased?
  • How are you trying to connect it—USB cable, Wi‑Fi, or Ethernet?
  • Are you setting it up on a Windows computer, and if so, which version of Windows?
  • Does the printer show any error messages or lights on its display when you attempt to connect?
  • Have you already installed the HP App or any drivers, or is this the very first attempt to connect?
  • Is the issue happening during the initial setup or after the printer was already added once?

Once we have these details, we’ll be able to narrow down whether the challenge is with the printer, the connection method, or the computer.

Would you like to start by letting me know the printer model and how you’re trying to connect it?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
