Can't enter network password on printer

Can't enter network password on printer.  I am installing the printer on a new network and the network password has an ! in it.  I cannot figure out how to put the ! in the password for the network on the printer.  It worked before.

It sounds frustrating not being able to enter your network password! Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Here's how to enter ! on the HP Officejet 4630:

1. Start entering the network password on the printer's control panel.
2. When you reach the point where you need to type !, tap the "Symbols" or "#" button (this button may cycle through letters/numbers/special characters depending on your model).
3. Press it repeatedly until you see a screen with special characters.
4. Use the arrow keys (if available) or the onscreen keypad to scroll or locate !.
5. Select ! and continue entering the rest of the password.

If you still can't enter !, try these workarounds:

Option 1: Temporarily change your Wi-Fi password

• Change your Wi-Fi password to something without special characters (just letters/numbers) temporarily.
• Connect the printer to this simpler network.
• Once it’s connected, you can reconfigure the printer through the HP software or HP Smart app using a computer or phone — which gives you easier password entry options — and then revert your Wi-Fi password if needed.

Option 2: Use HP Smart or HP Print Setup Software

1. Connect the printer via USB to your Windows 11 PC.
2. Download and install HP Smart or HP Easy Start: 
   HP Smart for Windows
   HP Easy Start
3. Use the app to manually set up wireless. When prompted, you can enter the complex password using your keyboard.
