Can't print envelope

I try to print an envelope by going to the page settings, choosing the correct envelope size, switching to landscape mode and clicking save. I go to the print preview and it shows the envelope properly oriented and ready to print. I hit the "print" button and it automatically reverts to letter/portrait and will not print the envelope properly. Any help would be appreciated.

Browser is Microsoft Edge. Windows11 operating system. Updated software for HP Officejet 6600 All in one printer from HP Website. #10 Envelope. Composed the Envelope on Wordpad.

I appreciate the help. However I have had this printer for several years and have printed numerous envelopes without any issues. It is just recently that it has not let me do it any longer. Everything is the same, computer, printer and settings. It is only in the past month that this "glitch" has started.

Update 

OK _ No "now-to" needed.  Got it. 

What else?

• Restart everything, including the router that controls the network.
• Uninstall the printer software > Restart and log in > Install the full feature software / full driver printer software > Restart the computer and log in

I can get it to work ...

Perhaps you missed More Settings at the bottom of the Windows Print menu

Open More Settings > Opens Printing Preferences

Set your paper size / type / orientation in the various menus / tabs

Click OK to save the change(s) and exit the Preferences menu

Back in the main Print menu, click to Print

I will put together an example plate of the steps  -- it will take a few minutes...

True -- for this to work, you do have to have the full feature software / full driver printer software installed,.

Ask if you need help to install the full driver printer software.

I can get to the more settings part but nothing in those settings, (or the advaanced tab) gets it done for me. I appreciate all your help and time.

You are likely more familiar than I when using WordPad - that might make a difference!

I have used WordPad a handful of times in total, all for testing / training.

The following examples assume the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software is installed.

What?  The full range of printer features are included in the installed software, including Printing Preferences / Shortcuts.

The examples provided below are newly created - hopefully clear of errors or oddities...

Tests were run on a fully loaded Windows 11 system, full driver software, all Windows Updates applied.

Set Printing Preferences – Windows

NOTES

• This section is not applicable to Mobile Printing.
• Access to the complete Printer Preferences might require having installed the Full Driver printer software.
• The printer should be selected as the default and current printing device.
• Printing Preferences are available directly from the driver (Devices and Printers) or from within the job setup (software / application used to view and submit the job to the printer).

Windows 10 / Windows 11

Windows key > Search for and open Control Panel

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers

Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences

• When called from within printing software / applications, Printing Preferences might be called "Printer Properties" / "Shortcuts" / “More Settings” / “Properties” / "Printer Setup" / "Presets" or similar.

• No Size?  If the size of the Paper Size is not included in the Drop-down list, consider / try:  Create a Custom Paper Size Form.  Reference:  HP Printers - Creating Custom Paper Sizes

NOTE >> Word > Mailings > Envelopes  :: Preferences and Envelopes 

Select / leave Printing Preferences Shortcut to "Everyday Printing" or something equally benign. 

NOTE-2 >> Settings path to printer(s)

Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers and scanners

Check the list of devices – Select / Open Printer

Select Printing Preferences

Windows 10

Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners
